Management of your personal health information

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of the staff.

Privacy Policy

In accordance with the Privacy Act, all information collected in this practice is treated as “sensitive”. We use the information you provide to manage your health care. If you have any questions or concerns regarding how we handle your personal health information or need to arrange access to your records, please ask the staff or your doctor, as appropriate.

Communicating with the doctor

Nursing Staff at the Facilities communicate with our doctors regularly and notify us with any changes. In an urgent situation the Nursing staff will call the Doctor directly.

Investigations or other results

Our doctor’s review all results daily and action at the time, or review when next at the facility to discuss the result if not urgent.

Patient feedback

Our patients are encouraged to give us feedback regarding the services we provide to them. We will make every effort to implement changes that improve the quality and effective care that we always endeavour to provide.

Complaints

If you have concerns about your healthcare, talk with your GP or the Practice Manager as soon as possible. This is often the quickest and most effective way to resolve concerns.
